Praise & Skorne at Privateer Press
Hey, Privateer Press just posted an article I wrote about writing non-human characters in a fantasy setting, specifically the militant skorne from their Iron Kingdoms IP. Well done! I really enjoyed writing non-human POV, both for Privateer and for Paizo. Inter-species romance was a big hit. Anything’s possible with magic, but when your lover if venomous…now that’s a problem!
Thanks, Chris. To this point, I haven’t been called on to write any skorne romances, interspecies or otherwise. Though, it would be interesting to see how their caste system and fatalistic world view would affect something like that.
